  • Purpose: The Library's website serves as the primary means of disseminating information and information sources to the entire academic community of the University, as well as to any interested citizen.

  • Management: The Library's website is controlled by a team that includes the Library's director, the IT manager, and a librarian specializing in electronic information sources. This team is responsible for the design, content, organization, maintenance, updates, and evaluation of the website. These members are the only authorized individuals to upload material to the Library's website.

  • Criteria for Selecting External Links: The selection of external links must be consistent with the development policy of the Library's collections. Factors to be considered in the selection include the update rate, jurisdiction, organization, and accessibility of a source. The Library has chosen to offer a number of selected external sources for each scientific or thematic field covered by the University departments. The selected sources reflect the mission of the Library, the research interests of students and faculty, and have educational value. The choices are made by the website development team. Although the links are regularly checked and certified, and all efforts are made to ensure that the provided resources remain relevant to the collection development policy, LIC is not responsible for the content of external websites to which links are provided.

  • Evaluation: The Library's website development team will use available tools to assess the use of the websites by collecting statistical data on page views and usability methods.
